Melanie De Koker, Articling Student
Melanie obtained her Bachelor of Applied Arts in Paralegal Studies (Honours) from Humber College before attending law school at Queen’s University. While at Queen’s, she volunteered for Pro Bono Students Canada as a Team Leader on the Wills & Estates Project, and as a Student Caseworker and Group Leader for the Business Law Clinic.
Melanie loves helping small businesses with their legal needs, and has been enjoying learning Family Law, Real Estate, and Wills & Estates during her articles.
Outside of the office, Melanie enjoys boating or kayaking on Rice Lake, finding new hiking trails, reading, snowboarding, and spending time with her yorkie/maltese mix, Oliver.
Melanie loves living in Peterborough for her family ties and the proximity to water and hiking trails.
